Gwyneth and I constantly receive new artwork to display in the gallery. Currently, we have hundreds of pieces in the store and soon will be adding some of them to the web site for review and purchase. Please look under our news section for the most recent information. We will put out a release alerting our customers in advance when art will be available on the site.
Until then, please come by the gallery to view our vast selection from our featured artists and other art from around the world.
Interest Free Layaway
Commerce Street Gallery does offer in-house layaway for customers with no additional costs. For art $500 and under, a three-month layaway plan is available. We require a deposit of one-third of the total purchase price,and three equal payments throughout the layaway. Artwork that costs more than $500 can be put on layaway for up to six months. A deposit of 20% of the total purchase is required initially followed by six additonal payments throughout the layaway plan.
Once your order is paid for in full, it will be shipped. All layaway payments are non-refundable. However, payments can be transferred to a different piece of art in stock. Layaway purchases can only be returned for gallery credit or exchange. Special order artwork will be charged a 20% restocking fee if layaway is cancelled.
Interest Free Layaway
All art is avaialable for shipping within the continental United State by UPS. Because this is our recommended shipping agent, we will guarantee all deliveries. Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska and other international destinations are shipped by the U.S. Postal Service. We will ship to any country and will manage all export documentation. Overseas shipping may cost anywhere from $50 to $100 (or more). If this is a concern, ask us for a quote on the shipping cost in advance.

- Cost for shipping unframed art ranges between $15 and $40
- Shipping framed art costs between $50 and $200
- A 6% state sales tax is applicable for all orders shipped within the state of Virginia
Import Taxes or Duties
There is no way to accurately estimate what, if any, duties or taxes will be due on your shipment. This varies by country, and there is no one reference available that provides this information. Therefore, we suggest you contact the Commerce or Tax Authorities in your country to inquire what duties or taxes may be applicable to the importation of art into your country. Such duties or taxes will be collected from you at the time of delivery. As part of our export documentation, we file all forms, which state the retail value of the art and a copy of this declaration will be included with the shipment.
Return Policy
All purchases may be exchanged it for an item of equal value or receive an in-store credit within 30 days of purchase. Custom framing is guaranteed to meet your satisfaction. Therefore, credits are not available for framing services. However, if you are not pleased with the job, we will reframe it to to your satisfaction.
Customers who purchase an item in the store and request to have it shipped to their home may also return it to the gallery personally or ship it back to us (at their expense) within 30 days to for an exchange or to receive an in-store credit.
Artwork must be in its original condition in order to return it. Items shipped are fully insured to arrive in good condition. Customers who receive a damaged item need to contact use immediately.
